Our crew

Our crew is our family. We know that every crew member is someone we are bringing into your home or business. We are selective about who we bring into our family and we value dependability, consistency, dedication, positive attitude and room for growth. Every member of our crew is highly trained in the basics of house cleaning and each crew member is more substantively trained in specific cleaning skills so that we gel cohesively as a unit. We pay our crew members well above minimum wage as legal employees on payroll, and we carry workers compensation, because they are valued, and only as a strong unit can we make the business all that we aspire it to be.

While I am the owner of Lilja’s Cleaning Service, I am also the original crew member! I started house cleaning as a part time job 21 years ago while raising my two sons and my stepdaughter. Over time I built the technique, skills, and know how to clean residential, commercial, and Airbnb properties from top to bottom. I am highly skilled in all areas of house cleaning. I am still the hands-on crew leader and my specialty is efficient, timely crew management. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, reveling in nature, especially the Yuba, and doing nature photography. Not surprisingly, researching cleaning products and equipment and looking for ways to improve our cleaning techniques and service is also a big passion of mine.

I became a part of Lilja’s Cleaning Service in 2020. My specialty is cleaning bathrooms and I am an expert at reclaiming showers and tubs. Additionally I serve as the business consultant and customer relations expert of the company. I am a musician and I might be heard singing on the job. I wear many hats and I am also a voice teacher, teach guitar lessons and run a recording studio. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, going to the Yuba, roasting coffee and perfecting the art of making espresso as well as performing music all around the Nevada City and Grass Valley area.

I was introduced to Lilja’s Cleaning Service from three years old onward. I joined the crew fully around 2016 and I have been working on and off during school since then, and I am now a crew leader. I specialize in bathrooms and floors and I love bringing a shimmer back to wood floors. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley this spring and I am looking ahead to UCLA law school.

I became a part of Lilja’s cleaning crew in 2020. I specialize in vacuuming and mopping and I am the crews’ handyman. Outside of work, I enjoy playing my electric guitar, running track, bowling and spending time with my family and dogs. While I am dedicated to my role in Lilja’s Cleaning Service, I am currently attending Sac State and aim to pursue becoming a doctor.

I joined Lilja’s Cleaning service when I was three weeks old, shadowing my mom for years until I joined the crew in earnest in 2019. I am the crews’ self-appointed highly detailed quality control inspector. My specialty is kitchens and I can really make ovens, fridges, and countertops shine. Outside of work, I enjoy drawing, skating, soccer, and taking impromptu trips to the beach. Alongside working for Lilja’s Cleaning Service, I am attending Berkeley City College in the fall.
